Mstsc stands for Microsoft Terminal Services Client. It’s a Remote Desktop connection that allows you to see and interact with a remote computer.
Start the Remote Desktop Connection by typing in mstsc at the command line. Then type in the name of the remote computer or terminal server.
This process is common for management of “headless” servers that don’t have a monitor screen attached to them.
