No display
If no display appears on screen, there may be an issue with the video card or the display. To verify, connect an external display and see if the image appears on the external display. If it does, then it indicates an issue with the mobile device lcd screen. In that case, you’d need to replace the LCD display.
Dim display
What may look like no display, might actually be a very dim display. One cause of this may be if the LCD monitor backlight is not working. Behind LCD monitors are backlights that are shining through to display the image. Look closely or shine a flashlight onto your screen and see if the image is actually appearing on screen, but is very dim. If so, that indicates the backlight is the issue. If the backlight is not working and you’re using fluorescent style lights, then you’ll need to replace the inverters to get the backlight working again.
Flickering display
A flickering display can indicate a connector problem. You may have to replace a bad video cable or replace malfunctioning video hardware that is connecting the LCD display to the motherboard of the laptop.
Sticking keys
Sticking keys are usually the result of debris getting under the keys. You’ll need to clean out the keyboard. Key caps can be fragile so be careful when you attempt to clean them.
Intermittent wireless
There are multiple antennas in mobile devices such as WiFi main, WiFi aux, Bluetooth, and others. The antenna wires wrap around the laptop screen so that they are located at the highest point for better connectivity. However, this also means that antennas are easy to accidentally disconnect during mobile device maintenance. If there is no 802.11 wireless or Bluetooth make sure the antennas are plugged in. If there is intermittent connectivity, check the connectors and see if the cables are loose.
