Touchpad configuration
There are different finger combinations and swiping gestures that can be configured for touchpads on a laptop.
Touchscreen configuration
Touchscreen on mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets can be configured. For example, you can configure lock codes and biometric access.
Application installations/configurations
A mobile device manager (MDM) can be used for application installations. You can set policies to require certain applications or prohibit certain applications.
Synchronization settings
With mobile devices, you need to determine how the data on the mobile device will be backed up so that all the information remains safe. Back ups could be cloud based or you could sync back to a local drive.

Wireless settings
There are additional administrative and security concerns with mobile devices and their wireless settings both in the office and elsewhere. A virtual private network (VPN) is recommended for added security.
