A projector is useful when giving presentations and you want to display your screen in a large format so that the audience can see.
Digital projectors may be referred to as LCD projectors, although the technology within the projector may not necessarily use LCD.
The lamp inside of a projector must be very bright in order to project the image onto a wall or white screen. Metal-halide lamps are often used because they are very bright. However, they also get very hot. Projector lamps can be very expensive from approx $30 to $350+. Because lamps get hot, you’ll need to let the bulbs cool. When you power off the projector you may still hear the fan running to cool down the lamp. Keep the project plugged in while the fan is cooling down the lamp. Once you hear the fan turn off you can unplug the projector.
Lumens/Brightness
The brightness of a projector lamp is measured in lumens.
