VGA stands for Video Graphics Array. VGA sends analog signals to the display. It’s a DB-15 connector, meaning that there are 15 pins, arranged in 3 rows, inside of the connector. More accurately it is called a DE-15 because the outside connector shape is the smaller the DE size of D connectors
VGA cables will have a blue connector, and the connectors on the motherboard may also be blue.
A VGA connection provides an analag signal (rather than digital). With a VGA cable, the image degrades after 5 to 10 meters.
