HDMI stands for High Definition Multimedia Interface. It is one of the most common video connection types. HDMI provides video and audio digital streams. HDMI connections can span about 20 meters before the signal degrades or you’re unable to get any signal.
HDMI uses a 19 pin Type A connector, which is a proprietary connector.
HDMI can convert to/from DVI without quality loss, or to VGA with some signal degredation
Mini-HDMI
A Mini-HDMI is a smaller HDMI connector. It’s a Type C connector designed for smaller devices, such as video cameras.
There is also a smaller micro-HDMI connector. But the micro-HDMI is not listed on the Comptia 220-1001 objectives.
