In Windows 7/8/8.1, the Display settings applet is found within the Control Panel.
In WIndows 10, the Display settings were moved to Settings > System > Display
Resolution
Resolution settings are especially important for LCD monitors so that you can set your output to the monitor’s native resolution.
Color depth
The color depth information and settings are found in the Advanced Settings, Adapter modes of the Display settings applet.
Refresh rate
The refresh rate information and settings are also found in the Advanced Settings, Adapter modes of the Display settings applet.
