Large organizations have big security policies and therefore may be managed through Active Directory Group Policies. At home though, you have stand alone computers that aren’t managed through Active Directory. Instead you need to define local security policies. The local security policy snap in is not available in Windows Home editions, but is available in Professional / Pro, Ultimate, and Enterprise editions.
The Local Security Policy is separated into different categories such as Account Policies which cover password and account lockout policies. There is a Local Policies category that handles auditing, user rights, and security options. There is a category to handle policies for Windows Defender Firewall with Advanced Security.
