In Windows, after an OS installation, you may be asked if this will be a workstation configuration or a Windows domain configuration. If you are are connection to a Windows domain, you’ll need to supply the appropriate credentials to add the computer to the network.
- Domain set up for larger networks that need more control. Domains require a specific server (domain controller) to control access to the network’s resources (tracking each user, each resource, and what each user can do to each resource).

command - In domain set up you don’t need to set up local accounts on each computer. This is called single sign on.
