Force Quit is when you want to stop an application from running. For example, when an application has become unresponsive, you’ll want to force quit it and restart. In MacOS, Force Quit is found in the Apple menu. The keyboard shortcut is Command-Option-Escape. You can also force quit an application by holding down the option key while right clicking on the app icon in the dock. An option to force quit will then appear.
